Our COVID-19 Response

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Info for Clients and Families

Caring Hands United has protocols in place for infection control and we are closely monitoring all information provided by the CDC and Georgia public health authorities. Rest assured that we are taking all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of our clients, caregivers, and our community.

Caring Hands United and Our Response

Here are some things we are doing at Caring Hands United to lower the risk of contracting coronavirus:

  • Vigilantly following CDC’s updates and guidance
  • Providing extensive training for our caregivers
  • Established and communicated to our caregivers the appropriate standards and practices for hand hygiene, use of sanitizers and the cleaning of surfaces and equipment with EPA approved disinfectants.
  • Monitoring and safeguarding the health of our caregiver workforce with daily temperature checks

When our caregivers visit you at your home, you should expect:

  1. Your caregiver has completed a mandatory symptom self-assessment immediately before visiting with you.
  2. Your caregiver is using infection control protocols and universal precautions before every visit.
  3. Your caregiver is also actively screening you to ensure that any alarming symptom is noted and acted upon appropriately.

If you think you have been exposed to the virus…

The State of Georgia has a new COVID-19 hotline. If you believe that you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to the novel coronavirus, please call your primary care doctor, an urgent care clinic, or your local federally qualified healthcare center. Please do not show up unannounced at an emergency room or health care facility.
