Benefits Finder

One extremely helpful site for finding out which benefits you qualify for and who to contact is BenefitsCheckUp.® The instructions for using the site to qualify for home care services are as follows:

  1. Visit https://benefitscheckup.org/
  2. Enter your Zip Code and submit
  3. The next page will ask What type of benefit programs are you interested in? Feel free to check off as many items as you need to, but the item that will get you qualified for Medicaid funded Home Care and/or Family Caregiver Pay is under the Aging In Place category.
  4. Under the Aging In Place category, it will show you the number of programs available, click the down arrow on the right to view the list.
  5. The program you’ll need to view is Community Care Services Program. By now, you should also be seeing a phone number that you can call to speak with someone directly.
  6. If you click View More Info, you’ll see a little bit more information, including information about the name of the AAA agency for your area. That is the agency you will need to contact. You can see the full contact information for your local AAA agency by scrolling down the page, under Frequently Asked Questions > Who should I contact?
