Caring Hands United is dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through a comprehensive suite of services offered under Georgia’s Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) program. Our programs, including the Comprehensive Supports Waiver Program (COMP), New Options Waiver Program (NOW), Community Residential Alternative (CRA) Group Homes, and Host Homes, are designed to provide a spectrum of support tailored to diverse needs. From intensive residential care for individuals with significant support requirements to flexible in-home services promoting independent community living, we are committed to enhancing independence, improving quality of life, and facilitating meaningful community participation for every individual we serve.
Whether through the structured environment of our CRA Group Homes, which offer intensive training and support in daily living skills, or the nurturing, family-like setting of our Host Homes (Life-Sharing) program, Caring Hands United prioritizes person-centered care. Our services under DBHDD, including both the COMP and NOW waivers, are focused on avoiding institutionalization, fostering enduring relationships, and ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of participants. We strive to create environments where individuals can thrive, develop essential life skills, build self-esteem, and fully engage in their communities, reflecting our unwavering commitment to supportive and inclusive care.
