COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Information and Resources
Currently, Georgia’s Department of Community Health states that Personal Support Service (PSS) should continue as scheduled; therefore, Caring Hands United will continue to provide essential home care services during the COVID-19 crisis. Employees and personnel are instructed to monitor their temperature daily, practice social distancing, and limit social interactions outside of work. Alert your supervisor immediately if you experience a loss of taste and/or smell. Additional Employee Training and Resources are provided below.
Beginning Friday, March 27, 2020, business hours at our locations will vary and visits to our offices will be restricted to essential employees by appointment only. Current employees may contact a staffing coordinator to discuss alternative options or to set an appointment.

During your visit, if you notice any signs or possible symptoms, staff should immediately implement recommended infection prevention and control practices. If a member/patient is suspected of having COVID-19, you should notify your supervisor and immediately report your concerns to the Georgia Department of Public Health (“DPH”) by calling 1-866-PUB-HLTH (1-866-782-4584). Ask to speak with a Medical Epidemiologist. Georgia’s DPH has also provided the following hotline number to call if you believe that you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or have been exposed to the novel coronavirus: 1-844-442-2681.
